We are in Ocala visiting my Mom and Bill for the holiday weekend. Any trip to Ocala includes a visit to Tomorrow’s Treasures , a really nice shop near my Mom’s house. My last few visits I have ended up striking out due to holiday schedules so I was quite excited when I called today and they were open! For one thing, they have great taste in machines. They carry Bernina sewing and embroidery machines and Handi-quilter long arm machines.
Beyond the machine sale and service they have great accessories – a large variety of thread, stabilizers and even pantograph patterns for quilting. I especially appreciate being able to buy long arm supplies in person.
They also carry quite the variety of patterns and other notions. Beyond the usual quilt books and patterns, they have fun patterns for children’s items, bags and fun wearables. That is my mom trying to escape the photo.
As much as I like the machines, supplies and patterns, the fabric is always the main event for me. They have a strong selection of (I would guess around 1,500 bolts) fabrics, ranging from modern fabrics, novelty prints and batiks. They also have a bunch of sale fabrics, including some really nice mixers, which make great backing fabrics.
Suffice it to say I did some stash building. So great backing fabrics, a traditional holly and points era set and some pretty florals for table toppers. I also got some good advice on my long arm machine, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This shop is a must visit when I am in Ocala, and it should be for you too!
